Citizens of the following 13 countries can enter Vietnam without a visa for tourism or business purposes:

  7. Japan
  8. South Korea
  9. Denmark
  10. Sweden
  11. Norway
  12. Finland
  13. Belarus

Duration of Stay

  • The maximum visa-free stay is 45 days (including entry and exit dates).
  • If travelers wish to stay longer or re-enter Vietnam after the 45 days, they must apply for a visa or eVisa.

Validity Period

  • The visa exemption program for these 13 countries is extended until at least December 31, 2025.
  • Each visit under the exemption must comply with the duration and purpose (typically tourism, visiting friends/family, or business meetings).

Entry Requirements Under Visa Exemption

Even though a visa is not required, travelers must still meet the following conditions:

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  • A return ticket or onward travel documentation.
  • Not listed on the Vietnam immigration blacklist.
